2018 Partner of the Year: Linda Hassan Anderson

At the Annual Partner’s Gathering, Board Chair Kerry McClenahan had the great pleasure of announcing the 2018 Partner of the Year award recipient. This year’s award went to a Partner in her fourth year with SVP Portland who has been an amazing force in our Partnership since day one.

She came to us with expertise in early childhood education, having served in senior leadership roles at Kindercare, the National Association for the Education of Young Children, and Atlanta’s National Black Child Development Institute. She helped craft SVP’s Commitment to Children, participated in the Access to Preschool Task Force, worked with Community Partners such as Metropolitan Family Service, KairosPDX, and Black Parent Initiative. She most recently stepped into the Lead Partner role for our partnership with the Center for Equity and Inclusion. In 2018, she joined our Board of Directors and has been a mentor and advisor for many of us, and she served as SVP’s Interim Executive Director. Please join us in congratulating Linda Hassan Anderson, our partner of the year.

Linda, thank you so much for everything that you have done and are doing to ensure that every child's early care and education is a birthright!
