John McNair recently completed his Encore Fellowship with the Portland Japanese Garden (PJG). John’s contributions were an extension of his HR and operational expertise gained after almost 30 years at Intel in various HR and Manufacturing roles.

We are thrilled to share that Polly Luttrell has joined SVP Portland as our new Development & Events Coordinator!

During the first half of this year, we launched an initiative to engage Partner volunteers in a virtual Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) training called Reframing Racism through our partnership with the Center for Equity and Inclusion (CEI).

Understanding the workforce gap and creating a plan around addressing this problem is a priority identified through our recent strategic planning process. Before jumping to solutions, we conducted a landscape analysis in order to first understand what the main problems are, who’s doing what, where the gaps are, and what could SVP be doing to potentially address some of these gaps.
