Meet our new board member, Eva Maribona!

We are so excited to welcome Eva Maribona to our Board of Directors! Eva works as the Deputy Director of Workplace Culture & Operations at Latino Network. She's a creative-solutions professional with extensive experience consulting with numerous small to mid-sized organizations on all things HR & People Operations, including policy development, compliance, workplace culture and engagement, employee relations, training, and talent acquisition.

Her passion for giving back, helping others, and furthering social justice, diversity, equity and inclusion, fuel her drive to positively influence meaningful outcomes and change. Eva finds purpose in guiding organizations to lead with humanity at the forefront of their people and operations practices, remembering the opportunities we all have to positively impact our workplace through courageous leadership and simple daily interactions. Both her bicultural lived experience and background in HR, workplace culture + employee benefits consulting plant a foundation for her focus on making a difference with the employee experience, especially with those from traditionally underserved communities.

When not working, Eva soaks up time with her loved ones including her 7 year old daughter. Together they enjoy exploring nature, both cooking and eating delicious food, soccer and dancing. Eva has a BA in both Latin American Studies and Business Economics, and earned an MBA from the Graduate School of Business at Mills College in the California Bay Area.

Through her work at Latino Network Eva has first-hand witnessed the long-lasting positive impacts of the work of SVP through the community organizations it supports. SVP’s mission aligns beautifully with Eva’s lifelong passion and drive for lifting up underserved communities and positively transforming lives as well as through her work at Latino Network, where she supports the wellbeing of an organization and community whose roots and future are firmly grounded in education equity.

“I am honored and excited for this opportunity to learn, share perspective and experience and create wider circles of positive impact and influence through service on the board of SVP.”
