Board Member Charlie Gilkey
As we begin to refine our brand purpose and organizational direction, we’re especially grateful to have Charlie Gilkey join our board. Charlie helps people and businesses focus on what matters and then execute based on those values. His company, Productive Flourishing, offers corporate planning, productivity training, and team development via coaching, consulting, workshops and products that help people finish the stuff that matters. Charlie decided to join the SVP Portland Board this year because our organization encompasses his civic priorities: education, racial equity, and socially-conscious entrepreneurship. “I’m particularly interested in SVP’s mission because it’s a preventative mission,” he told our CEO, Mark Holloway. “Rather than addressing the effects of poor economic opportunities, it’s addressing one of the root causes of poor economic opportunities.”
Charlie is in the process of his completing his Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University Nebraska--particularly the intersection of ethics, social and political philosophy, and political theory. He also sits on the boards of the Wayfinding Academy and Sacred Money Studios, advising on strategy, strategy execution, positioning, marketing and organizational development.
