Encore Fellows in the News: David Williams on KATU

David Williams, an Encore Fellow, retired from Intel at the end of June 2016, and slid straight into his fellowship at Friends of the Columbia Gorge.

"David was not only able to go out and refresh those map layers that we had before, that we already had existing, but also to acquire new map layers, especially in areas around natural resources."

His work will be particularly valuable now, after the devastating Eagle Creek fire that scorched the Gorge, as he's been working to map the scenic, cultural and recreational values and resources which will need to be restored in the coming years.
