Please Welcome Our New Director of Investor Partnerships

In order to secure the resources to drive progress toward our early childhood goal, we know we must provide excellent stewardship of our Investor Partners, as well as strengthen recruitment of new Partners. It became clear that what SVP Portland needed was a role focused on the core resources that drives our revenue and impact—our Investor Partners. Regular contact and the cultivation of authentic personal relationships would be crucial to the continued success of our Partnership. After a thorough search process, and a unanimous decision, the hiring team was thrilled to name their choice of Matt Little!  As SVP’s Director of Investor Partnerships, Matt will help Investor Partners identify and achieve their goals for connection, learning, and impact. He will ensure that Investor Partners are informed and engaged to the degree that provides maximum satisfaction and return on investment—both for the Partners and for SVP Portland.Matt has more than 20 years of experience leading programs with donors and volunteers, and running successful nonprofit organizations. After attending Dartmouth College, he earned a Master's of Public Administration at The Maxwell School of Syracuse University. Matt went on to Capitol Hill where he worked on conservation issues with the Environmental Protection Agency and for various members of Congress, most notably the late Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan of New York.

In 2002, Matt moved to the Pacific Northwest and was a Park Ranger at Crater Lake National Park and a teacher at Multnomah Outdoor School. He spent the next ten years leading and growing nonprofits like the National Wildlife Federation and the Oregon Natural Desert Association. Most recently, Matt was Executive Director of the Cascade Forest Conservancy (CFC), a local nonprofit that protects our forests and connects youth to nature. CFC doubled in size and impact during Matt's leadership.Matt grew up in Minnesota and loves to fish, hunt, and explore the outdoors as much as he can with his wife Paula and their two girls, Sabrina and Brooke. Matt and Paula have been Investor Partners with SVP since 2016, and they encourage you to join the amazing community of Partners committed to Portland's future.
