Partner Highlight: Brighton Jones

In this continuing series, we are highlighting Partners and the skills they bring to the SVP Portland Partnership.

Brighton Jones is a financial wellbeing company. They advise their clients on all facets of their personal financial picture, mindful of how each piece fits together, as their Personal CFO. Their goal is to help clients achieve specific goals outlined in their personalized financial plan and aligned with their values. Taking it a step further, Brighton Jones teams with clients beyond the balance sheet to help align wealth, passions, and purpose.

Q: Why did you choose a Business Partnership with SVP?

A: The Brighton Jones Portland team has been looking for ways to increase our involvement in the community, and we are particularly interested in using our professional skills to give back. Collectively, we are passionate about supporting youth and have partnered with organizations such as Project Lemonade and The Children’s Book Bank [a former SVP Community Partner]. A member of our team has a connection to the Black Parent Initiative and learned about SVP Portland through that relationship. She brought SVP to our Philanthropy Committee, and we were immediately impressed by SVP’s data-driven approach to address the root causes of inequity and the commitment to driving systemic, scalable change. Our team feels that the Partnership’s approach truly magnifies the impact that an individual can have in our community, and we are thrilled to contribute to SVP’s mission.

Q: You mentioned wanting to use your professional skills. Is there a particular area in which you want to engage?

A: Our team’s skill set ranges from financial planning and tax preparation/compliance to project management and coaching, and we look forward to leveraging those skills to increase SVP’s impact with Community Partners. We each hope to build our personal connections and be change agents in our community. We also hope to be a resource by providing valuable resources, and we look forward to getting to know Partners better during our upcoming webinar, Tax & Estate Planning for Strategic Philanthropy. We hope you can join us!
