This team of Investor Partners, Board Members, staff, and an Encore Fellow shared key findings and preliminary recommendations with SVP’s Board of Directors in March. Highlights include:
SVP Portland is well positioned at this moment in time with the staff, Partners, and strong financial position to evolve our business model.
The evolution of SVP’s business model is aligned with and supports the current vision, mission, goals, values, and strategic priorities.
After reviewing the current environment and assessing business model trends, the team recommended several enhancements to the SVP business model to increase the health, vitality, and impact of SVP Portland. Those included:
o Strengthening SVP’s identity, messaging, and relationship marketing capabilities.
o Enhancing the Partner journey experience.
o Better engaging and growing support from major donors and foundations, as well as next-gen philanthropists.
o Developing the SVP tech stack for new insights and increased productivity.
o Increasing SVP community collaboration & influence from a systematic point of view, beyond direct projects in the future.
With SVP Board support, the focus has shifted from the Dynamic Team’s research to staff proceeding with the prioritization, sequencing, and actions to move toward a more relevant, stronger business model. Partners can expect further updates and more detail as we make progress.
“I’m excited for the updated, forward-looking focus and direction of our business model, to maintain the relevance and vitality of SVP Portland into the future. I’m also extremely grateful for our talented and dedicated Dynamic Team, and the work they’ve done to chart the course toward the next phase of SVP Portland impact,” said Lauren Johnson, Executive Director.
