SVP Portland Welcomes New Board Members
We are proud to welcome three new Partners to our Board of Directors! The Board provides leadership for SVP’s mission to mobilize the time, money, and influence of our Partnership for investment in our community. Each of these Partners brings specific skills that lend to this charge, as well as passion for our current goal of ensuring that all children—regardless of ethnicity, wealth, religion, gender, or zip code—have access to high-quality, culturally-relevant early learning experiences. Read on to learn more about our new Directors, and why each of them is motivated to join our Board.

“I’ve had the pleasure of working with SVP for years on various early childhood projects and am so inspired by the impact the organization has made in this area. I look forward to helping SVP define its goals for the future and determine the best ways to amplify, expand, and support the capacity that already exists in our community.”
Larry Fox
“SVP Portland is at a pivotal point in its history. For me, this is philanthropy’s time to champion solutions that are non-partisan, system changing, and just. We in Portland should embrace the success we have had and leverage it to make Portland stronger, the SVP network more relevant and influential, and philanthropy a role model for hope through meaningful leadership and action.”
Bob Tate
“In today’s difficult financial, political, and social environment, SVP has an ever more important role to catalyze and advocate for lasting and structural change, and to mobilize change agents across the community to bring them to life. I’m also convinced of the untapped power of the SVP global affiliate network and its thousands of Partners, and excited by the potential to test new philanthropic models for even further and faster community leverage.”
